These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including security company owners, administrators, guards, and clients across our role-based system (LiteClient, Client, Guard, Admin, Owner).

2. Description of Service

MyProtektor is a comprehensive security management platform that provides:

  • Incident Reporting: Real-time security incident documentation and tracking
  • Patrol Management: GPS-enabled patrol tracking and QR code verification
  • Emergency Response: Panic button functionality with billing integration
  • Role-based Access: Hierarchical access control for different user types
  • Real-time Monitoring: Live security monitoring and alerts
  • Analytics and Reporting: Security analytics and compliance reporting

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • Each user may only maintain one account

3.2 User Roles and Permissions

  • LiteClient (Level 0): Panic button access, basic incident viewing
  • Client (Level 1): View published incidents, full panic features, incident history
  • Guard (Level 2): Report incidents, QR patrol functions, photo/video upload
  • Admin (Level 3): Review/publish incidents, manage guards and clients, organizational settings
  • Owner (Level 4): Full control, billing management, organization settings, user management

3.3 Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You must keep your contact information current
  • You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

  • Use the Service for legitimate security and safety purposes
  • Report genuine security incidents and emergencies
  • Collaborate with team members on security operations
  • Access features appropriate to your user role

4.2 Prohibited Uses

  • Submit false or misleading incident reports
  • Misuse the panic button feature for non-emergency situations
  • Attempt to access features beyond your assigned role
  • Share account credentials with unauthorized individuals
  • Use the Service for illegal activities or harassment
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

5. Subscription and Billing

5.1 Subscription Plans

MyProtektor offers multiple subscription plans designed for different user roles within your security organization. Current pricing and plan details are available on our website and within the application.

  • Plans are designed for different user roles: LiteClient, Client, Guard, Admin, and Owner
  • Each plan includes features appropriate to that user role's responsibilities
  • Pricing and features are subject to change with appropriate notice
  • Plan upgrades and downgrades are available at any time

5.2 Billing Terms

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • All fees are in South African Rand (ZAR)
  • Payment is due on the billing date each month
  • Late payments may result in service suspension

5.3 Usage-Based Billing

  • Certain features may include usage-based billing components
  • Usage charges are clearly disclosed before activation
  • Usage charges are automatically billed to your account
  • Emergency situations are never restricted due to billing status

5.4 Refunds and Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds are provided for unused service periods in certain circumstances
  • Usage-based charges are non-refundable once services are activated

  • Support response times vary by subscription level
  • Support is provided in English and Afrikaans

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service

  • We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
