Affiliate Program Terms

The following Affiliate Program Terms ("Terms") govern participation in the MyProtektor referral programme. Approved security firms ("Affiliates") may earn commission by directing civilian users to MyProtektor. Enrolment in this programme constitutes agreement to abide by these Terms in full.

1. Eligibility & Approval

  • Participation in the Affiliate Program is restricted to licensed security companies.
  • Every applicant must submit an application for manual review and approval by MyProtektor.
  • We retain full discretion to accept or decline any application.
  • Affiliates must digitally confirm acceptance of these Terms before gaining access to their affiliate dashboard.

2. Referral Tracking & Attribution

  • Upon approval, each affiliate is assigned a distinct referral code suitable for distribution to clients or internal teams.
  • In-app sign-ups originating from the affiliate's company profile may be attributed automatically.
  • Attribution follows a first-click model — the affiliate whose link or code was used first receives credit.
  • Sign-ups completed without a recognised referral link or code may not qualify for commission.

3. Commission Terms

Affiliates receive 30% commission calculated on the net subscription revenue generated by referred civilian users (after deduction of payment processing charges).

Commission becomes payable only once:

  • The referred user has made a verified initial payment
  • A 14-day holding period has elapsed without cancellation or fraudulent activity

Payment Details

  • Minimum payout: R500
  • Frequency: Monthly, provided the minimum threshold has been reached
  • Methods: EFT (bank account in South Africa)

4. Refunds & Reversals

MyProtektor retains the right to deduct or claw back commission where:

  • The referred user requests a refund or cancels within the 14-day holding window
  • A chargeback or payment reversal is processed
  • The referral is associated with fraudulent behaviour, manufactured sign-ups, or platform abuse

5. Affiliate Responsibilities

Each affiliate undertakes to:

  • Represent MyProtektor truthfully and in a professional manner
  • Avoid making inaccurate, exaggerated, or deceptive claims
  • Observe POPIA and all applicable data protection legislation when processing personal information
  • Not engage in unsolicited messaging, forced redirects, or manipulative sign-up tactics
  • Not purchase or bid on "MyProtektor" or any related brand terms through Google Ads or equivalent advertising platforms
  • Uphold a professional standard in every interaction and communication

6. Suspension & Termination

MyProtektor may immediately suspend or terminate an affiliate account if:

  • Any provision of these Terms has been breached
  • Evidence of referral manipulation or fraudulent conduct is identified
  • The affiliate damages the reputation or brand integrity of MyProtektor

Where termination results from a material breach, any outstanding unpaid commission will be forfeited.

7. Relationship Disclaimer

  • Nothing in these Terms establishes an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture arrangement between the parties.
  • Affiliates operate as independent contractors who promote the MyProtektor platform.
  • No affiliate is authorised to bind, represent, or act on behalf of MyProtektor under any circumstances.

8. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms are subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
  • Any dispute must initially be raised in writing via email to: info@myprotektor.co.za
  • Should the matter remain unresolved, it may be escalated to:
    • Binding arbitration conducted in South Africa, or
    • A Magistrate's Court with appropriate jurisdiction

9. Modifications

  • MyProtektor reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
  • Affiliates will receive notice of material changes through email or an in-dashboard notification.
  • Ongoing participation in the programme after such notice constitutes agreement to the revised Terms.
